called Dec, 23rd due to hd being out again, which has been and ongoing issue since we got this service March 2010 and was told earliest a tech could come is Jan 3, 2011. We are now without any channels working and have to wait another 5 days. I was told when I got this service that by getting insurance pkg they would take care of all problems but every time we call we get the run around so have not bothered calling everytime it goes out. We hardly ever get the HD channels. DTV says its due to weather but our weather has not been bad almost everyday since March. I was also told we would have high speed internet and I pay an extra $69. + for phone and internet but the high speed is not available in my area. so guess what? They did not tell me we would be bundled with Qwest so I thought it was part of my package and when I called they said no that has to be taken up with QWest.. My original quote was around $110. for tv, phone and cable but even after rebates I am paying around $170. a month I have a contract for 2 years but feel direct tv has breached that contract but not giving me what I am paying for and I am ready to call my attorney or an arbitrator.
